Random inspection finds

Thought it may be of interest for some of us to put up some random & interesting inspection issues we come across whilst out & about running the rule over our flocks.

 

To kick off, this from today........

 

What I suspect is lycoperdon pyriforme (the "stump" Puffball)

here on the tension roots of a seemingly healthy & vital, but leaning London Plane.

Ive seen these puff balls before david, not so sure they are pyriforme as in this image, maybe this image of yours is the aged appearence

I think yours are just younger developing pyri's Tony.

Not noted Merip fruiting on this particular tree before, though there is merip in the park, but oddly on old planting pits & not on living trees.
