We all get offered the same discounts some of us choose pass it on some don't.

I'm sure you don't all quote tree jobs at the same price I bet there can be £200 difference in your quotes. You will all have your reason for your prices, as do we (I'm not going to give away my secrets and reasons on an open forum). :sneaky2:

But until the law changes we will always try and keep our prices low.:thumbup1:

Stihl can't tell us how to price as that's price fixing, and so is a cartel.:001_smile:

Yes but there's a recommended retail price, the same with thousands of products on the market. My point was is that if stihl is so rigid with there dealers over selling saws to unknown customers, it's nice to see they turn a blind eye to them pricing there products through the roof.

The high prices are generally the RRP's, dealers that turn over a lot if saws and pass on the discounts sell at well below the RRP.

It seems some would rather make £200 on a saw and only sell one whereas others would rather make £10 per saw and sell 20 making 20 customers happy. Those 20 customers will probably be back for more whereas the bloke who paid the high price will soon realise he can get his kit cheaper elsewhere.
