Nope, Jo Beau UK agent is now Vermeer altho they won't know a lot about em. Above quoted anvil gap is WAY TOO BIG!!! Don't for goodness sake run it like that - you'll have no chipper left. 25thou or credit card is the MAXIMUM gap you should have. Fletcher Stewarts said to me the gap should actually be as small as you can get it - without any contact obviously - spin the drum by gloved hand to check - isolate engine first! I've always run mine with smallest gap possible and works best that way.

Well, I have the owners manual here with me as I bought my JB new.

The anvil should be set at 0.5 mm from the chipper knife.

From my experience (7 years I have my M300) 0.5 to 0.8 mm works fine. Just keep the knifes razor sharp, I sharpen them after every 25 to 30 hours.
