Generally there is no set wage for contract climbers, it is very much to your interpretation of what you are worth.

Freelance contract climbing tends to attract higher hourly rates, although it is highly competitive.

Plenty of companies around the capital cities looking for safe, reliable and competent climbers.

Full Time positions with consistent 5 days a week plus all the benefits of tax, superannuation, public holidays, annual leave & sick pay all taken care of will likely run $20-35 per hr

Sub Contractors without any of the above might be $35-$40 for a novice wanting to get out there, $40-60 for good productive, self-sufficient climbers with their own saws & rigging gear, $60-100+skys the limit proportionate to the the value you bring.

This is sound, accurate advice.
