Loughborough Fair

Had a laugh at Loughborough Fair last night. It gets bigger and bigger, although the big rides seem to be surrounded by the "hook a duck" type deal and burger stands where the burgers seem to be on the flip mats for ages. Prices seem to be pegged at around £2.50 for the routine and the bungy ball was £10 a go - much cheaper than of a few years ago!

I did have a giggle watching one stomach churning ride, a lady of large proportions was turfed off because they guys could not shut the safety cage over her gut!

I would love to see the video of the show break down - its busy right up until the pubs throw out then its all gone by morning! Must be chaos.

They all meet next at the Goose Fair in Nottingham then they all go on holiday to "The Reef".

Pete,

Goose fair has been and gone! Loughborough is the last big fair of the year!

We went through town at 07.00 this am, the council were in sweeping for the remeberance parade the one way system was back together and the county council were hiabing in the big pillars for the christmas decs! I say every year i will go down and watch the breakdown of it. the only sign the fair has been is that the magic mouse is still on granby street carpark. it requires a mobile crane to dismantle, and they are not allowed to work on dismantle while the rememberance parade is in the town centre.

I once had the afternoon off school to watch the set up, chaos it isn't it works like clockwork everyone knows where everything is going and in what order, a lot of the drivers park their trailers inch perfect first time too.
