Hi People,

i have just had a customer phone me and ask for his cherry tree to be pruned/pollarded. i said it may be exposed to silver leaf with the colder weather. however he said it is desperate need of work.

Just wondering whether it would be possible to prune at this time of year

If your just going to do normal pruning works probably best to leave it till summer but if your going to "pollard" it i dont think it will matter IMO its getting a hammering anyway so the wrong time of year aint going to make a world of differance.

Cherrys always seem to end up looking crap when "pollarded"
