Whilst organizing my H&S files today, I inadvertantly wiped my health and safety policy:scared1::sneaky2:

Has anyone got an electronic copy I can use as a base template?

I have mine on paper, but I dont want to type up the whole damn thing again...

if you have paper copy’s & you only wish to amend 1 page then that’s a lot less typing if you can scan the rest.

or find a download of a file recovery program, normally when something is deleted it is just removed from the MBR on each drive but the data is still on the HDD just the link is removed, so the sooner you find a file recovery program the easer it will be to recover the lost files before they are written over.

normally files can be recovered after 2 write-overs with free programs but its better if this doesn’t take place, don’t run scandisk or defrag! (paid for programs its >5 write-overs)

if you have another PC use that one to find a file recovery program (most good ones have 30 day trials ect) if you turn off the PC with the lost files on it will minimise chances of write-overs of the files, then once you have file recovery program turn it on and load it up.

if you only have 1 PC then don’t load any programs on to that PC & minimise its use until you have a file recovery program & found the files.
