Just wait for the arb assosiation ones to be sold on ebay. I've seen pleanty on vans that I'm sure are not on the approved list. Mind you the words have changed slightly so that can't be ilegal.

I got sent an NPTC sticker when I passed my pesticides!

 

I suppose it could be used to infer competence where none exists but hopefully landowners would want to see evidence of tickets/insurance et before a contractor started work anyway?
