How do I remove my chainsaw drive sprocket?

Hi all, I've got a new quandary.

I'm taking my chainsaw apart as I've partially cut the power cable and wish to rewire it. All the bolts have been removed but the drive sprocket seems to be holding the two halves of the outer case together. How do I remove it to gain access?

Many thanks, JP Clarey

Oh, that power cable!!

I would guess the machine is pressed together in an automated factory and not designed to be repaired in any way if it goes wrong.

Can't you just splice a the wires back together? A bit of insulting tape should do the trick.

I've wrapped the area with tape as a temp measure but until I can afford a petrol one, this will have to last a bit longer! I was hoping to also clean the inside of the saw as it makes a bit of a grinding noise when the brake kicks in. I know it's only a cheapo electric but is ideal for occasional use.
