try Holmes and sons, littleton nr winchester,i planted some hedges on the farm several yrs ago,we used them to supply, they've usually got a good selection, hazel, hawthorn spindle, dogwood etc. we spaced them fairly close ,about 12" apart in 2 rows and they,ve made real good hedges now, they also supply canes and spirals for them.

I'd recommend holmes too, they will do you a mix per 10m stretch, including field maple etc is fairly traditional, they are very helpful and it's not expensive, you will need to wait at least a month before they will be doing the bare root whips.

Stick spome beech and holly in there too, as they both occur naturally in hedges and will take hard flailing better than hawthorn etc, which ought to be laid TBH.

part f the ground will have to be left for a year as there are 6 leylandii to be feled and ground out first. Thanks for the advice though guys , any one got a contact number?
