I bought a rope grab today. ISC micro grab, then got told just unscrew the cam to get the flip line on. Its not doing it, i turn the cam from one end and the whole thing turns , so i tried holding one side of the cam with pliers while trying to turn the other side of the cam to unscrew it..it wont budge....HOW DO YOU GET THE BLASTED THING OFF!! help.:cussing:

one of these bad boys yeah?

there should be a bolt going through the cam from the body of the rope grab. unscrew that. there are some with r clips and one with spring loaded thingys which as far as i'm aware shouldn't be used as life support.

If you put a 5/8 spanner on the bolt side and a 1/2 spanner on the nut side.

Hold the 5/8 spanner still, and turn the 1/2 spanner anti-clockwise.

This should come off no problem.

Cheers Jonsie, did that and got it on, hope i did it tight enough..dont want the bugger coming undone at 30ft.

Cheers guys, many thanks.
