well, while im perusing through the bulging library behind me i thought I would stick these up for those that are interested in this kinda thang:001_tongue:

 

On birch, on a large pruning wound so saprophytic, thick grey lip, top side not discimilar to daedalea quercina, pores more angular and less maze gilled than Daedalea though.

 

moist, leathery brackets though still forming are about two inches across.

 

Like i say, dunno, not even a clue right now! im off to have a little read!:confused1:

Try bruising the pores whilst it is still forming....confragosa will bruise a pinkish-brown, eventually turning brown.

"Derivation of name: Daedaleopsis means "having the

appearance of Daedalea"; confragosa means rough, rugged

and refers to the coarsely wrinkled and bumpy upper surface."-Wiki
