if you can find an employer you can get upto 70% of costs for assessments and training:thumbup:

 

sorry should of made it clearer, you have to work for them aswell

 

i got 70% of my climbing because they sell wood chip, firewood and garden benches etc

 

not sure who the company is but the guys name is carrick armer who provides the funding

am based in cornwall too,, it's pretty tough,, there is work but there are lots of people chasing every job,, wadebridge/ camelford area seems to be particularly busy with tree gangs..

 

as others have said look at how much it's going to cost you to get climbing and then think REALLY hard about how long you expect to be able to climb for..

 

i'm 37, not been doing it long, but have been working in outdoor sports my whole life so am fit,, and i'm already finding out how much it hurts..

Carrick works For Yorwoods but I think the money comes in through Lantra :confused1:
