finished large ash today 2-3 hours lost due to bees, called in the expert to sort them out.

respect to the bee keepers though they have a interesting job

 

funny thing is that the land owner where weve been working is a major consevationist

when he finds out all the fun we have had hes going to love me

The pollination of all crops depends ( in part) on bees....It is worth an estimated £4 billion p.a....

It is a sad indictment indeed, that a farmer should be so divorced from his responsibility to the biodiversity of this country.

It's sometimes a frustration you could do without when on a job, but you did the right thing. Ive only ever battled wasps up a tree myself. Id like to find a feral bee colony. At a guess, these were a colony that has swarmed, and become lost to their keeper!

I wonder if that farmer would like to stand up in front of the Bee Keepers Association and explain his recommendation??

 

They are in mass decline as it is so without similar like-minded people as you this planet would suffer just that little bit more - go get yourself a GOLD star trooper!
