I think a lot more truckers are going back to them to avoid traffic jams and VOSA roadside pull-ins.

That was the old K40 mike wasnt it? I borrowed a mates echo mike cos it was reckoned to carry your voice further, load of tosh I think. Anyone else work the skip on a regular basis? There was some really good sunspot activity back in the early 80's.

 

The K40 was (and still is) a very good antenna.

Hmmm who made the echo mike then? Thought it was a K40 product. Didnt actually own one, just borrowed it.

There certainly doesnt seem to be a big range of products available these days, from what I can find on the net.
