We didnt have any houses too close, so the burner didnt really affect anyone else, and I only booted it up in the wee small hours anyway, usually had it wound down to around 25w. The secret was NOT to interfere with other radio/tv traffic, as the licencing authorities relied on reported interference before the ol detector vans came out. I expect these days the detection equipt is a little better!!

That was the old K40 mike wasnt it? I borrowed a mates echo mike cos it was reckoned to carry your voice further, load of tosh I think. Anyone else work the skip on a regular basis? There was some really good sunspot activity back in the early 80's.
