We are having an open Parkday tomorrow in the Main park in our town, lots of people will be about. I decided to do a VTA inspection on all the trees, just a quick one to see wether changes on condition had occured during my holidays. We had a thrombus go through our county couple of weeks ago...

8.50 my boss came and I told him that one tree would need some work just to make sure its safe. We agreed on me doing the tree on monday, a proper climb inspection and a weight reduction for safety...

10.45 I got a call from some collegues that had heard a sudden crack and then a big limb fell down from the tree and the tip of the branch hit the feet of an elderly man!

Still dont know the cause as I only made sure the hung up branch is stabile and secured the area. Will deal with the tree tomorrow as a part of the open day, Demonstration on crown reduction!
