Tw 18/125

Hello,

I have recently purchased a used 2000 TW 18/125 but it has no instruction manual with it. I need to do a blade change and some basic maintenance but I have been told that nlades need aligning in a certain way, not just un bolt and re bolting on. Is this the case?

If so, could anybody offer any instructions for blade change is it is not a simple on/off?

Also could I get an instruction book from anywhere?

Cheers,

Adam

Hi Adam

To change the blades is very easy, it is one off / one on process, the blades should be mounted on the blade pockets but please throughly clean the mounting face of the pocket and the back face of the blade to ensure there is no debris or particles when the faces mate together.

Please tighten up the bolts to a torque tension of 45lbs ft using a calibrated torque wrench.

If you contact the spares dept of TW it may be possible to send you a copy of a manual.

Hope this helps

Brilliant, thanks for that.

I have just been told by my Service dept at Gunn JCB who are my local TW dealer that after blocking it up onTuesday, my No Stress computer could be goosed. They cannot give me an answer whether or not they can fix it ir get a replacement as mine is a 2000 model with the Kohler engine, not the newer Honda.

I take it it is still possible to fix / replace parts from a 2000 TW?

Hope so!!

Adam

Hi Adam

The no stress system on your machine can be replaced with newer technology, we would need to know the full serial number of your machine to enable us to programme the new parts to match the old.

From the ser no we are able to trace back through the records what type of unit was originally fitted and send the correct replacement.
