Employment opportunity with new company in Dorset

Hi all.

I am currently in the process of setting up my own business in the Dorset area. i am based near Dorchester and expect the business to be fully up and running within 4 to 6 weeks. As a result i am seeking contacts for potential employment. These initially will be on an ad-hoc basis but may lead to a permanent position depending on work etc. I am looking for the following prospective people.

1. Experienced climber with relevant tickets to include dismantling.

2. Experienced groundsman with minimum 30,31,38

3. Apprentice groundsman with 30,31 and hopefully 38, if not working towards these quals.

I'm sure the experienced guys know the score with regards work ethic etc, however the apprentice needs to be self motivated, hard working and have bags of enthusiasm and initiative. I am not after a robot just someone who can turn up bright as a button and graft all day without moaning questioning everything and playing with their phone!! It is extremely likely that the apprentice position will become permanent from day 1. This is a good opportunity for a young lad or lass to start with a brand new company and work from the bottom up. Of course all this depends on the company getting plenty of work.

If anyone is interested in the above positions then please forward a CV to myself at [email protected] For the apprentice position this should include a covering statement detailing why they would like to work for my company and a bit about themselves.

Please do not badger me for a response i will respond in due course.

Cheers

Dave Smith

Hi Dave, very interested in this. I have recently put up a post on this forum searching for exactly what you're looking for, the link to it is: Link To My Post

I will get back to you properly via email later this evening with a decent cv and covering letter, but I am away from my computer at the moment.

Regards, Sean.

Not had much of a response!! Thought there would be a few more takers given the present economical climate especially for the apprentice position!!

Cheers

Dave

I hope this doesn't sound rude, but you may not have much of a response because it doesn't sound like your offering much. You don't mention anything about how much work you've got or clients, info about your company etc etc. A good climber employed climber will be employed and a subby climber will be going for work week to week, not really thinking about something that may happen.

If you've got contracts etc lined up then let people know and get them excited about working for you.
