I suppose HSE may have considered that you were the operator,and that it's your responsibility under H&S1974 to identify, report and disable dangerous equipment.

 

Some trousers are better than others. Chinos are rubbish.

 

They didn't know enough to make that call. Really not interested when I contacted them. Even for data purposes, you'd think they would investigate. How can we improve our PPE if the laws that dictate the spec is backed up by hearsay and superstition; as opposed from actual data from accidents.
