Hi guys,

 

I've linked a PDF outlining some of the details about the new Resi MD300. It's a ‘No Frills’ basic microdrill for preliminary inspection, and the price reflects this. We took one with us to the Arb show this year and got good intrest and feedback when running through a quick demonstration.

Hi All

 

The new Resi-PD microdrill was shown for the very first time in the UK at the North West Tree Officers meeting on 14 February at Myerscough College. Everybody was impressed with the speed & capabilities of this new microdrill which uses novel dual motor technology to virtually eliminate frictional drag on the drilling needle, making it far more sensitive than any previous microdrill.

 

With drilling speeds up to an incredible 250cm/minute a typical 400mm drilling takes less than 20 seconds in/out!

 

The manufacturers -IML - have told Sorbus that we can now start accepting orders for the PD microdrill & release details etc will be appearing on our website Specialist & Hi-Tech Equipment for Arboriculture, Forestry & Environmental Care - Sorbus International Limited very shortly.

The basic MD300 microdrill does not have any form of recording drilling data. It is intended to be a rapid & cost effective method of quickly drilling trees/timber to detect decay/defects & residual wall thickness - which can be read off a 1:1 telescopic scale

on the instrument.
