It seems to be the way with the bigger saws, especially as we often buy them on the back of a big job.

Lots of people ask me what we do with our felled timber, planking, furniture etc. My stock answer is most of the trees we are asked to take down are coming down for a very good reason. 'Cos they're fooked. Most of the reason for this is because they've had a hard life next to roads or in gardens where people have built fences next to them, used them as fence posts, lamp posts, gate posts, kids try to fill the cavities with stones or misguided oldtimers filled cavities with concrete.

Big tree=Big opportunity for metal and stone.

Note to self,"Buy a spare chain at same time as buying new big saw"
