The one in the Pic is Marlow Double Braid. Rich has just spliced it so may be able to help.

 

Hadleigh has already answered, but here are my attempts.

 

Just picked up a couple of metres and am about to attempt to make a footlock strop. Footlocked 4 trees yesterday and realised my old strop is a tad messy...

There both double braids and both easy to splice. As bob says,very forgiving(cheers for the rope bob! haha)

You want to do a class one double braid splice on them both mate.
