I was going to use the bike example!:sneaky2:

As you have changed the sprocket size, have you now changed the ppe requirement? and you have altered the saw from the manufacturers original spec?

Yes its been altered by a fair bit the inlet and exhaust ports are re-shaped and widened, The piston has been smoothed up, The transfers have been opened/flowed and the upper transfers opened towards the inlet port, The cylinder has been moved down to increase compression and the ehxaust has been opened up.

Run it with a blunt chain or crap fuel and it will die quickly! But boy will it put a smile on your face to run!

I would think that the PPE level would need to be uprated but im thinking it wont cut much faster than a well set up 372XP so that level should be fine. Not that i would ever want to test that theory!

Its the go to saw:biggrin:

Yep Husky went wrong when they didnt replace it with something equal!

Did i mention it had 200 psi compression lol

Also a lot of the Huskys had only 1 piston ring so less friction but the ring wears out quicker but then again you only have to buy 1.

Everyone picks the old 262 up, its our go to saw.

I'm liking the 361 stihl, though.

Sit them next to each other and the dimensions and balance are almost identical.

The stihl doesn't feel like a stihl.

Same you can't put the 361 on .325 with a 7 or 8 pin sprocket though, cos of the large centre, that I would love to try.

Who pays £700 for a MS362? some people should get a better dealer/shop around! Ours just cost £560!!!!! since all our other saws are stihl, we stick with them for spares

Im going by the on the shelf price here in Inverness!

The Stihl dealer here is almost useless for parts.

I have a Stihl 036 and use and reccomend Stihl strimmers over anything else Im running a FS450 just now and havnt found anything even close!

Needed a bigger saw for a few jobs so bought a Makita DCS7900 £450, Awsome for the money strong and smooth great value so no real brand loyalty with me.

We have 32 Stihl, 1 Husqy and Im meeting the Makita rep tomorrow, so no loyalty here either. Our local Stihl dealer is the mutts nuts though! anything you want or could want and if he hasnt got it, it will be there within a couple days! The Stihl rep was in yesterday and there service is seconond to none, but you still need to keep an eye out for other/better products

I waited 7 weeks for a recoil spring for a FS450 and finally gave up and got one new from ebay.

3 months for a rim sprocket kit for a 025.

3 attempts at getting rings for a FS250 and ended up getting the proper part number myself and got them to order it.

The Husky dealer would stand on his head if it would help!
