Friend of a friend has a bearcat 72825 3years old, petrol engin model. not done alot of work from what i can work out. i havn't seen it yet just wanted a few tips from anyone with knowlage of these units. in short are they any good?

what sort of money will this machine be worth?

To be honest - if you are working to a strict budget and are not expecting too much from your machine and intend writing it off and getting nought for it in years to come, then go for it. They were not known as a good performer, the parts and backup could be awkward as it is an old model, and its resale value is, at best, limited.

Sorry if that pops a bubble, but, and I'm sure many would agree with me, save up and buy something more mainstream.

However, if it fits you budget and you are fully aware of what your taking on then I can only wish you the best for the future.

If I was asked to take it as a trade in against a new machine then I would set its value at £500 and put it on flea bay or put it thro the sales.
