Your tree website & Reciprocal Link resources.

Here's a re-post, that I mentioned elsewhere. Extended to you folks overseas.

For any arborists interested in reciprocating website links, I figured out a way to set aside a couple of pages where I could add landscape contractors or arborists, located outside my region.

My main links page is already nearing capacity. But its where I list the information about exchanging link resources.

M. D. Vaden Links Resources - See page anchor

Use the add a site link at the top, or scroll to page bottom. At the bottom, is information and one more link also, for an additional page listing what sites I plan to add to what pages.

I didn't want to use just the criteria of certified arborists only, since I've heard of a couple of C. A.s who have spiked to prune. And there are some skilled tree workers who are not certified. Will just have to play it by ear.

The invite is open to landscape contractors or skilled landscape maintenance also.

The link exchange resources do work. For a fact. Its tested and proven.

Thanks,

M. D. Vaden of Oregon

What I noticed over the past 5 years or so, is that the number of decent free resources to list websites as seems to be shrinking. Those with related content that is. And I think that green trade professionals should start networking more with folks in or out of their regions, to provide a greater web presence, which equals more "votes" online. For those to whom its practical.

Forgot to mention, if interested, send a note email.

Link in my signature for site, and the site contact page has the email. I read one PM. But get to my email more routinely than individual forums and PMs.

Update.

In the few days since posting this, my site already jumped from page 2 to page 1 for some keywords.

And for other keywords where I was at the bottom of page one, its moved up 2 to 3 spots.

Courtesy of about 20 garden, deck and landscape websites who reciprocated links. And exactly why they participate too.

If your site is of higher quality than the one you link to you boost them not you. Every link helps but only link to good quality sites or it can negativly affect you i currently have a page rank 2 and would only link to the same page rank or above bit of helpful advice for you

The feedback on many SEO forums threads, is to take links from a wide range of Pageranks.

I've got a Pagerank 4 site, and gladly accept links from PR1 or PR2 if they ask. Because their numbers usually go up.

This last week, there were at leat four Pagerank 5 websites that reciprocated links with my Pagerank 4, because they recognize that any decent links pointing their direction is a good thing.

Especially if there are similar words and vocabulary.

One site alone that is of lower rank my not boost my site, but 3 or 4 of them will.

Presently, not only is my home page a Pagerank 4, but two or three of my individual sub-pages are also Pagerank 4.

Not sure how many Pagerank 3 pages I have, but there's enough.

Pagerank 5 is not impossible these days for landscape or tree service companies, but there are hardly any I can think of which are not companies like Davey Tree or some television garden talk show host. The largest landscape contracting companies and tree services in Portland and Seattle area are almost all at Pagerank 4 and below. The #4's are actually very few and far between.

A Pagerank 4 today, would have been a Pagerank 5 about 5 years ago. But the number of websites on the internet increased so much numerically, that if inbound links and content remained about the same over that period, the Pagerank 5 sites became Pagerank 4's.

Hope that advice is helpful.
