No, I did my fdsc with them though and they seemed pretty good. I wouldn't want to name the college on this forum, as my experience with them may be an exception.

 

 

Thanks for the other comments so far they have been very helpfull. I'm sure an apprentaship is a much better way to get a start in this industry than a full time course, I just need look into what grants are available before I take it any further.

 

If I need to pay for the whole lot I can't help but feel that he may be better just having a job on the condition that he works towards the isa cetified arborist scheme.

Im doing an apprenership now and on paper it sounds wort itto be honest it souns lie you maybe on about the sme college as me.

 

I get £125 pw on books and minimum wage is 95 a week. But its all down to you opinion of him how much you thnk he is worth. I get paid at college but maybe you might think if I pay him more then I wont pay him at college times etc.

 

Your suppose to buy him PPE etc as he will be an employee.
