Part time insurance

For various reasons, I don't want to be doing trees full time.

So I'm looking for insurance that would cover me for when I do want to do it, or possibly even just get cover for individual jobs as they come up.

Any recommendations?

I looked into this a few years ago and was told by a couple of insurance companies that there is no difference in premium as liability wise although you are doing less tree work you are also less practiced so a greater liability per man hour worked.

Some insurance companies base your premiums on your turnover so the policy is cheaper if you are turning over less money but there is a lower limit to this. Thjis might be the way forward for you

i found a company called blackfriars to be cheapest by long way, but you would have to read small print

There are quite a few of those (Blackfriars Insurance). Do you know which it was?

And thanks for all the suggestions, I've fired off a few queries.
