just finished milling up lovely oak into 6 ft length squared.

 

i am wanting to make a couple coffee tables ( rustic ) but haven't done any furniture making before.

 

any tips or does anyone know of good books?

scroll the net for images for inspiration imo, also mill some conny and have a trial and error before you even think about using the oak. I popped over to see a couple of carpenters who taught me some simple joints as i try to avoid using nails and screws at the moment.

never mind coffee tables, saw this in a furniture shop window today, priced at £1599...think im throwing my stump grinder away.
