Pole climbers wanted

Hey all! For all you people that say you want have a go but never get around to it, there will be a practice pole climbing day before woodfest wales this year. Its at st aseph (Woodfest Show field) which will be on the 27th march 2010.

 

This is the perfect time for you to give it a go as when at a show its only on within a certain time in the days it is held. Pole climbing is an exciting sport which takes you all over the country to forestry and agricultural shows. This sport is in need of new climbers to join a team of novices and experts!

I got in to the sport when Terry asked me to come along to the show to give it a go. I joined in at Woodfest 2008 and got an unofficial world record time in 2009. Thats how easy it is to get in to it. Please come along and see how long it does take you to get up the 80ft pole! Look forward to seeing you all!

Just had my first real go at pole climbing (40ft)! very, very good fun. Any info on other pole events would be nice if anyone could point me in the right direction?

The application forms for the World pole climbing comp at the APF this year in Sept are now on the APF website so if you wish to enter this comp there is plenty of time to get your entry form in

APF 2010, the UK?s largest forestry and arboricultural exhibition is returning to the same location as its hugely successful 2008 event.
