Recommended Posts

Great news mr. Bobbyem. Now you've got the first one out of the way, you know what to expect. CS30 has quite a bit of theory, 31 is more practicle.

What advice would you give someone else planning for their 30?

How much of a grillling did you get on chains and sharpening?

Yeah as someone above said revise everthign Keep getting someone to sk yu all the questionsand obiously just practiceon the saw as much as ossible.

I was quite cofident on sharpening and done it quite well and didnt ask to much questions on the chain components.

Revise revise revise is al you can do.

Good luck

Revise everything on the assessment, questions are random and asked during and after. Chain sharpening should be spot on.

Nice one Bobby on passing, I passed mine last week and totally and utterly screwed up my 31, nerves got to me  I will be retaking it, but feel I need more "saw time" before I do.

I feel confident on my 31 well I say confident I feel I will be a little more relaxed on 31. Ive ben useing a saw for a while under suprvision and been felling trees for 6 monthsish or so.

Can you not get in any practice maybe not out in woods but just practice your cuts on a high stump or somthing similar.

Good luck on your 31.
