Fast tow trailer gone walkies near Southampton - again

Hi guys,

Just had a customer on the phone to say his Fast Tow trailer has been stolen (again) - this is the same one that disappeared last year and we managed to get back, butt this time they've take his splitter too (don't know details of splitter as yet but will let you know).

This was taken from the Lymington area and is very distinctive - fully galved, 3 set of bolsters (but holes for 4 sets), 4.2m gull wing legged crane with red grab. crane is dark grey. This one doesn't have a flat bed and the headboard sits in the front set of bolster holes.

There's only two of this crane in the whole country and I know where the other one is so if you see or hear of anything let me know - I'll try and get more details asap.

We managed to re-unite them last time thanks to it being offered to someone and they recognised it as one of ours and rang us for details/spec - lets hope we can do it again this time.

Ta,

Chris @ Riko

Here's a couple of pictures of one similar - the crane is exactly the same as this one but it doesnt have the front set of pins as there is a removable headboard in it's place leaving a bigger gap between the crane so the power pack sits in it. Sorry the pics aren't great but they should help.

The hydraulics for the sliding body are plumbed into the hydraulics for one of the legs and a diverter valve fitted - we haven't done many like this so even if the crane is removed it will still look quite noticable.

Something that will make it unmistakeable is that this is the only one we have done that has indespension units rather than a rocking beam (I'd forgotten about that :blushing: ) and also the mudguards are from memory, permanently attached rather than removable as per usual.

What make of crane is that?

RM international - it's the smallest they do at the mo - they go right through to 8.something metres and double extension. have a look on their website R.M.INTERNATIONAL d.d. traktorski priklju?ki, Schlepperanschlussen, Tractor attachments though they don't have the little one on it or the biggest one either :blushing:

I'll double check but I'm 99.9% sure it's sub 500kg inc grab and rotator.

It's a really nice crane to use and is really quick on a tractor yet still got a good lift on it, I always thought it'd make a nice crane for chipper feeding.

Prices are meant to be up on last year but we haven't got round to changing them yet - can do a 4.2m @ £7000 plus vat and most likely chuck in delivery on a double pallet - there's cheaper for sure but this is just a smaller version of the bigger ones and uses many of the parts from the bigger ones including the valve block hence the price.

PM treedave for a bit of feedback as that's his trailer in the pics.

We deal with 4 different crane manufacturers so can usually find something to suit needs and budget - drop me an email at [email protected], mark it for my attention and I'll get back to you as soon as I can (though I'm not in the office officially now til next tuesday)
