Norfolk. around christmas 77-78, along with many many others.

Our eldest kids mate drove the tour bus for Motohead around that time, .I vaguely remember him coming to our house with one shoe on after he'd fallen off his bike in the snow, pissed

would that particular bus been called "Hotel Bastedos" I worked on that one for the band.

I think that might have been later than that, now thinking about it.

It was a far cry from the level of luxury of the later tour busses,

it was an older coach converted, Lemmy complained about the lack of comfort, when he was in the bunk, as it only had them on it instead of the usual full compliment of passengers, the rear shocks were barely compressed making the rear end so hard a ride if you hit a decent bump in the road he would be ejected right out of the bunk, so I fitted heavy duty range rover shocks on the back and it worked perfectly, myself and a roadie took turns in the bunk and driving it to test it. Lemmy  remarked it had improved it no end. I got a bottle of JD from him.

I recall he was very polite to my girlfriend at the time, a charming gent.
