Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Surgeon to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tree care and maintenance, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, ensuring the health and safety of trees while enhancing the aesthetic appeal of landscapes.

Duties

  • Assess the condition of trees and determine appropriate care methods.
  • Perform tree pruning, felling, and removal as necessary.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to maintain trees and landscapes effectively.
  • Dig holes for planting new trees or shrubs, ensuring proper irrigation systems are in place.
  • Carry out groundskeeping tasks to maintain the overall appearance of gardens and outdoor spaces.
  • Build and maintain structures such as tree supports or fencing as required.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and provide expert advice on tree care.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge related to the operation of power tools and machinery.
  • Must have CS38 & CS39 certificates.
  • Experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is highly desirable.
  • Ability to dig, plant, and irrigate effectively while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Strong physical fitness to handle the demands of outdoor work, including lifting heavy loads.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality service delivery.
  • A valid driving licence issued required for transportation between job sites.
