Unless it’s a horrendous recovery to get it to where you are processing it then it is well worth the effort.

As I said I burn a lot of willow and it has certainly kept me warm for many a year.

If it's free, it will be worth the effort.

So long as it is stored off the ground, with good air flow, and no rain falling on it, it will season and burn. Unpopular poplar is not as bad as made out, provided that you don't store it in the round,  and do the above.
