can anyone id this knot

It looks quite similar to a icicle hitch which is what i use to climb.

looks like a cross between a distel and a knut to me, only prob i can see is it looks like you might have a presher point where the leg that comes in the bottem of the raps goes under the other leg. is the ocean polyester rope? how do you get on with it?

looks like a pish knot to me. that looks like it would just bind up and you'd have to put loads of effort into advancing it. i don't suppose it would drop you though. maybe it's a "pussy knut", that's what i'd call it.

sorry to say but i was trying out different hitches that i could use to climb on and i some how tied this one aswell as you but i don't know what its called. it seems to grip very well but sometimes there becomes too much friction on the rope.
