Just googled it. £499 + vat etc for the license, but what hardware do you need to purchase to run it?

Pm me if you want, i have a copy of pocket gis that i dont use.....

Out of curiosity how do you like arcmap, we have upgraded to 8.0, its a big leap IMO from 7.1.1

I must admit that the "free" bit was what attracted me the most. That, plus the fact that it allegedly has a worldwide user listing.

At the mo, i'm trying to find something that's cost effective and will collaborate on a much wider scale, rather than paying extortionate software costs and licenced user rates for something that is pretty much UK specific.

Any suggestions Chris??

Andy, we use digiterra and arcmap now for field based data collection, we do alot of general gis as well and need a really flexible product.

If i had to recommend one over t'other i would go with digiterra every time as you can use it on your desktop as an office based system as well.

We seem to have diverted onto a bit of a mapping software tangent......

I'm looking for more of a dedicated management database like ezytreev or arbortrack..... i didn't think the GIS stuff covered that aspect??

I use ezytreev at work on a tablet pc and it's great! the support is excellent as well! But it is very expensive!! A few of our term contractors that work for us in the city use some nice basic GPS software! I'll get some names of products that they use and message it over to you. I don't really know much about itree unfortunatley? So cant really pass comment...
