Autumn Excursion to Mar Lodge Estate, Braemar! - Hosted by the Arboricultural Association Scotland branch! (FREE EVENT)

Originally built as a Victorian hunting lodge for the Duke and Duchess of Fife in 1895, the lodge is surrounded by ancient forests, rolling glens, wild rivers and rugged peaks.

In the morning we will be close to the Lodge to discuss tree safety, plantation management and biomass heating system. In the afternoon we will take a short drive to Linn of Dee Quoich for a guided walk and discussion about the restoration of the Caledonian pinewood. The Linn of Quoich ravine is a remarkable natural feature in the form of a large, bowl-shaped cavity next to a narrow waterfall.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
