Hi All,

In the last few months we've noticed our lovely monkey puzzle tree going from a lovely green colour to almost brown from the bottom to the top. A year ago it had some brown branches at the bottom which are normal but now all the branches are turning brown. Could this be due to lack of water considering the weather this and last year in England or is the tree diseased?

I've attached a picture from last year when it looked lovely, and today when it's not.
Can the tree be saved is really the question, and if so, how?

Many thanks,
Stefan

The drought problem is worse than you describe, the last 3 or 4 years have been dry. One dry year the trees can survive but it's a widespread problem now.

I suspect it's too late for your tree unfortunately.
