Started my CS30 and 31 today at Merrist Wood, being instucted by Rob Wood.

Alls going well, learning loads and trying to unlearn the bad habbits Ive picked up!!!

The course is all this week and the assessment will be in March, so time for some practice next week hopefully.

After 2 days in the classroom/on site, weve now moved into the woods and started felling.

Really enjoying it, and having the sun out all day was an added bonus!!

Starting to really get my confidence now, helped by excellent instruction, hanging trees up nicely too

Course all finished now, excellent week. Made a few mistakes on the last day (misread the lean of a tree and sat it on the saw:001_rolleyes: ) but Ive learnt from it, and will take a look at trees from further away in future, especially when they are on 45deg slopes!!!!!!

Just got my assessment to go in a few weeks time, so will be spending the time practicing and learning everything I need to know parrot fashion.

Many thanks to Rob and all the guys on the course for the good banter
