i have a first run harness, user it everyday and it will be a year old by the end of april....i have no problems with the webbing as yet. i wouldnt call it a substandard piece of equipment, i think thats an unfair comment.

They would be the first to admit it..infact have they not already done so by seeking to rectify those saddles showing excessive wear....It must be obvious. Please try and take a balanced and sensible view here. Its PPE.

I did try and temper my remark with a hope that all will be well in Gotham City once more...I want to see this succeed as much as the rest of you. Sorry if the truth hurts!

You se now I was just starting to think that you made some intelligent remarks about the harness hardware mate when you ruined it by saying that the hardware isues didnt matter, you wre to have one anyway.

This is crazy brother...I will not buy substandard equipment and I dont think you should either man...I really do hope the problems get sorted finally b4 it all gets very Mickey Mouse.

 

I was merely trying to point out that I think its still an excellent product, and I in no way think its sub-standard, i'd like to make that clear.

I know there are guys climbing with a treemotion and have had no issue's.

 

I was just voicing my opinions on the hardware, it does seem they are improving the slight fault/flaw, and they are fixing anyone's harness that is showing signs of premature wear.

You can't ask more than that on such a piece of equipment.

From the wear i've seen I would'nt say it constitutes a risk/hazard that makes the harnesses use as ppe dangerous.

 

Its like all our kit, it can wear, I know climbers who wearout the bridge on a butter/dragonfly in less than a year, others in 5, it does'nt make the harness unsafe to use.
