RTF remover as a blade cleaner

Hi All 

As above, has anyone ever ran RTF remover as a blade cleaner whilst milling. Mill is running 6 groove v belts on band wheels and to be honest I’m seriously considering/trying  wicking diesel onto the blades and taking the reduction in wheel belts lifespan on the chin, but still in the meantime happy to try other options.  Any thoughts either positive or negative ??.
