Has anyone managed it with NPTC or LANTRA?

I have someone with qualifications from Hong Kong, it would be good if he did not have to redo all the training and assessments.

I had an Australian guy in a similar situation a few years back, his qualifications weren’t recognised by NPTC.

Both the main European Chainsaw qualifications (ECC and ABA) where based on NPTC which was regarded as the benchmark, so they standard set their qualifications to them, making it far more straightforward to work in and around the EU.

Outside of these governing bodies it is difficult to establish just what the certificates mean in relation to ours.

I simply went through the assessment schedules with him and did a couple of days training to show him all the cuts.

He was experienced and a skilled saw user so it was all straightforward.

He just had to register and pay for his assessments with minimal training costs, he walked it and he was working the following week.
