Husky 135mk2 clutch slipping

Hello All

 

Ive been using my trusty Husky to cut firewood for well over a year and it hasnt missed a beat until a few days ago when the clutch seemed to be slipping

 

engine revs as per normal, but the chain can be stopped on a peice of wood

ive stripped the saw down and took clutch off and found a bit of chain oil had splattered onto the clutch - is that normal??

I cant find any leaks - the pump doesnt look split or anything.

ive replaced the clutch (not the drum) with no difference - when it was rebuilt i cleaned everything off with carb cleaner so no trace of oil or anything.......

any ideas?

A bit of chain oil in the drum shouldn't make much difference it will soon burn off with the friction, I'd have changed the drum at the same time. What is the sprocket like ?

Suggest you also post some pictures of the cutters & guide bar rails as these might also cause the chain to stick in the cut if worn.
