I made a trip to my beloved Whippendell woods this afternoon, to see the blebells, and ended up taking now one of my most treasured of photos. I have more to share later, but here is what is for me one of the finest captures in my world thus far.:smoker:

 

"The yellow flat-footed fly (Agathomyia wankowiczii) is unique in its ability to cause a gall on the Artist’s Fungus (Ganoderma applanatum) - a fungus commonly found in woodlands on deciduous dead wood"
