Hamadryads fungus diary

Recommended Posts

By the way david, ive got a few of these white lumpy to watry or toothy crustose jobs now, and really am struggling with them.

there are versions of coniophoras, a phelinus and peniophoras all with a similar characteristic. im gradualy geting enough images together to cross reference the minute differences but ive only been shooting the crusts for a couple of years.

i was "massive bracke"t obbsesed for the first half of my fung lusting career!:laugh1:

got a lovely something to show later on in the body langauge of decay thread though!

well, well, well now, I have had a bit more freelance work recently an after soooo many weekends off the return to losing at least half the weekends is bugging me a little. Or at least it was till I discovered the trees I was to work on where, along with many neighbours, suffering from a rather interesting parasitic fungi, Auricularia mesenterica! oh yes indeedy, my conclusions on this fungi are no longer even in any doubt.

Any-ways, that particular bad boy is getting its own thread as from today, so the important information is not lost in this behemoth of a thread! Most of what ends up in the diary is speculation/views/learning and prone to mistakes, but the new thread on Auricularia will be free of errors, for I KNOW this fungi now, it holds no secrets from me any more, nor doubts.

so heres a few bits from the rest of today, oh yes I had fun fun F.U.N and just check out Trametes trogii:151:

Kiezer, but i went straight to it as had a hunch anways, why you ask? and would you like me in future to mention my reference material used in each case?

My confusion, as I was looking at it listed as Coriolopsis not Trametes.

Out of interest, what edition K do you have.

i'm on 2007 second edition.

Interesting find btw :001_cool:
