Ideally, make a long nozzle out of old brake pipe, put a short 90 degree bend in the end, and (if the fan pulls) blow from the engine side outwards. If there is a removable mesh screen, take this out first!

An Air compressor is one of the best pieces of kit to have in the workshop! Not only for cleaning radiators but cleaning rubbish off of anything! Including sawdust off of yourself, but take care around cuts and the face.....Good post Mick......
