Tree height mesurement

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have been asked to give a daily rate on measureing the height of about 500 hectres of spruce which is quiet dense , i have one of my lads lined up to do it with a laser measurement but am wondering what i should be charging as this isnt a thing i come across alot but have done alot of work for this company and haven't let them down yet, my worker has done forestry management so is used to measureing trees but not much point in me taking job up if i cant make a profit out of it.To finish its for a big windmill company who want to see if the trees are restricting windflow to turbines. Thanks

We do alot of this for W-E projects, how accurate do they need the height data ? if its decimeter or .5m there is an extremely quick way of getting the heights.

If you are stuck on measuring each tree just stick a day rate on it x an estimated amount of days.

If you PM me your info i can email you info on how we do it...
