You wont get a cossh RA from your supplier/manufacturer,only a Materials/safety data sheet .. you neeed to base you RA on that data.. all suppliers are abilged to give you this data.. and it covers everything from your fuel to your suntan cream and lubricant.... even your toilet cleaner:001_smile:

What's it for, specifically?

I'll write it up/lay it out for you if you want....

Did about a 1000 of these whilst working in the chemical industry and my fathers done a fair few 1000 too ;)

Jim.

Many Thanks! A council has asked me to provide. The only things I can think of is: Fuel, Fuel mix, chain oil, poisons.

Not sure what else they are after?

And when you work for a company using ~5000 chemicals with all the RA's out of date it's a nightmare...

I was told by the HSE though that 9/10 times you can pretty much copy the basics off the MSDS and "tart it up a little" with some warning logo's etc...

As long as it appears "you've" assessed/interpreted the safety concerns it's fine...

Edit: That's not to say I don't understand the concerns, I've seen far too many accidents to be able to ignore even the slightest risk these days... Makes my life a real trauma working for some companies :(
