WANTED - Phellinus spp. fruiting bodies

Hi all - I'm new to the forum and am an entomologist living in Kent.

I've recently been conducting experiments with various white-rot fungi and the nutrition content of the resulting wood, especially its effect on insects. I'm currently trying to get hold of some Phellinus spp. spores to start some cultures for my experiments, as I assume they are a waste product in the arborist's line of work. In particular I am looking for Phellinus robustus (Fomitiporia robusta) and Phellinus igniarius in particular. Of course, I would be willing to pay for postage and some extra for your help. Thank you!!

Hi Khriss!

Preferably a fruiting body on a slice of log, but if that's not possible then spores will do!

What species do you have access to?

Non in my yard, but up to the woods next week n see if they any candidates, probably mostly  ignarius tho  🙄  K
